Privacy Policy

What TeamList is

TeamList is a daily todo list for teams, owned and operated by Simple Focus LLC ("we", "us"), a Tennessee limited liability company. You create todos, your teammates see your plan for the day, and everyone stays aligned without losing ownership of their own list.

What we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign in with Google via Clerk (our authentication provider).
• Todo content — the todos you create, including text, descriptions, comments, due dates, and any files you attach.
• Team data — team names, membership, and which todos are shared with which teams.
• Usage data — basic analytics like page views and feature usage to understand how TeamList is used. We use Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites.
• Emails you forward — when you use the email-to-todo feature, we process the content of those emails to create todos. We store the email body and sender metadata alongside the todo.

What we do not collect

• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not serve advertising.
• We do not use your todo content to train machine learning models.
• We do not track you across other websites.

How we use your data

We use your data to run TeamList. That means storing your todos, showing your team your plan for the day (respecting private items), sending you daily summary emails if you opt in, and processing emails you forward to create todos. That is it.

Who can see your data

• Your todos are visible to members of the teams you share them with, unless you mark them private. Private todos appear as redacted bars — teammates know you have something scheduled but cannot see what it is.
• Personal todos (not assigned to a team) are visible only to you.
• Team managers can see all non-private todos for their team members.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon, running on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Backups are handled by Neon. The application is hosted on Vercel. Authentication is handled by Clerk.

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Neon — database hosting (PostgreSQL)
• Vercel — application hosting and analytics
• Postmark — transactional email (daily summaries, notifications)
• AWS S3 — file attachment storage

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We choose providers that take data protection seriously.

Cookies

TeamList uses only essential cookies required for authentication (managed by Clerk). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Data retention

Your todos and account data are retained as long as your account is active. Completed todos are kept in your history. If you delete your account, we delete your data. If you leave a team, your shared todos remain visible to that team but are no longer editable by you.

Your rights

You can:

• Export your data by contacting us
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Mark any todo as private to hide it from your team
• Opt out of daily summary emails at any time in settings

Children

TeamList is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or with a notice in the app.
